Annual Regatta
On 9 November 2025, Newcastle Rowing Club will host our annual Central Districts Rowing Association (CDRA) Sprint Championships on Throsby Creek, Carrington .

Entries are via the Rowing NSW website closer to the event, get your crews together and join us for an action packed day in our beautiful Throsby Creek.

Sponsor our Regatta
This regatta attracts over 250 competitors plus their supporters who come from Newcastle, the Hunter, Mid-North Coast, Central Coast and Sydney. Athletes compete in over 100 races on our sprint course from Mount Carrington to the Cowper Street Bridge.
Newcastle Rowing Club invites organisations and individuals to support the event by sponsoring a race or races.
Your sponsorship of $100 per race will allow your business to gain valuable exposure and the recognition of supporting your local community.
For your support you will receive:
The naming rights for each race you sponsor
A profile of your business and its valued support will announced to the crowd during each race you sponsor
Your business name and logo will be printed in the regatta program and your name will be displayed on the club’s website until the following years regatta
You can display banners and distribute promotional material at the event
By sponsoring 3 or more races you or your business will also be permanently recognised with an engraved paver installed at the rowing club
Your support will assist us to:
Secure new trailer storage so we can have more space in the clubhouse to grow our membership
Develop improved junior rowing programs
Encourage more of the Newcastle to participate in the amazing sport of rowing through our Learn to Row Program
Successfully showcase Newcastle and the Throsby Creek precinct
Promote community involvement and participation in active programs
Provide a welcoming host to the hundreds of visitors to the area
The success of our regatta is reflected in the increase in competitors and spectators each year which has resulted in increasing media coverage.
